I recently completed a sabbatical myself in Sydney, Australia and stayed in a SabbaticalHomes advertised unit. For my unit in Calgary, I am looking for a reliable professional, willing to maintain my suite in its existing excellent condition. It was fully renovated recently and occupied only briefly. The building is adults only so consists of mainly retirees who are owners, not renters. If you like modern appliances, mid-century modern art and design, this is for you. Ideally a 12-month lease would be best, but I am flexible. The location is very convenient, a few stops from downtown on the light rail (C-train). The train station is across the street. An elevator will take you directly into the mall where you can do your groceries, banking and most anything. The exercise room is well-equipped and not utilized by many in the building. There is a library of donated books in the building and the Public Library is immediately adjacent. The unit has lots of storage. The entry features a mirrored barn door walk-in closet with built-ins: command station/drop zone, place for coats and shoe drawers. Amazing kitchen with separate pantry/utility room. Miele appliances (induction stovetop, integrated fridge and speed oven/microwave) with Fisher-Paykel drawer dishwasher, and separate freezer in pantry. New Blomberg washer/dryer with shelving in laundry room for more storage. Bedroom closets and dressers are empty, so there is lots of room for 2 people’s clothing. All you need to bring is your laptop, as the unit has a printer and desk. WiFi is included in the price. An above-ground indoor heated parking spot is available for extra ($100/month).
