Ideal for stay by university professors, seniors, and visitors to San Diego. We do not allow pets in the home or garden. We have hosted a number of academics and their families from overseas and the US. We wish to rent our comfortable, four-bedroom furnished home to non-smoking couple or family. Located on a quiet street in a safe family neighborhood with parks and miles of hiking trails nearby. Large fenced yard. Ideal for families with children. (Sorry no pets.) The house is completely furnished, with all linens, dishes, etc. 2 cars may be parked on driveway or in front of the home. Ample space for storage in garage. Other household items are stored there. Car recommended. If renting for more than a month, our guests will have use of the nearby swim and racquet club with pools, gym, fitness classes, 6 tennis and pickle ball courts, basketball, and play areas for children. Description Home is close to freeways to take you to beaches or to downtown San Diego, but is in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by trees and open space. We have a nice garden and is located in Scripps Ranch, a safe, quiet and upscale family neighborhood. Home is about 5 min. from major freeway connections and not in area where rush hour is heavy. Our two-story house has four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms. Stairs are carpeted. House has an open office area downstairs, three bedrooms upstairs with desks. WiFi throughout home. We are 20 minutes (22. 54 Km) from beaches, La Jolla, Zoo, downtown, and museums, and many tourist attractions. Close to many award-winning golf courses. We are also close to a number of major universities. 20 min. away from UCSD and SDSU, 5 min. from Alliant University. Also very close to excellent award-winning public elementary and secondary schools, (1k or less distance away) : Scripps Ranch High, which is a National Blue Ribbon School and California Distinguished School; Thurgood Marshall Middle School (gr. 6-8) also a California Distinguished School and Miramar Ranch Elementary (gr. K-5) ranked 9 out of 10 on Great Schools.org and which has a teacher/student ratio of 1/13.) High speed WiFi and Internet via cable. Satellite TV with many channels. Very nice Kawai upright piano, 1 fireplace. Fully furnished, linens, dishes, etc. Because of allergies, we cannot have pets. This is a non-smoking home and garden. We are close to a small shopping center (3 blocks) with supermarket, various restaurants, Pizza and Mexican take-out, banks, hair salons, dry cleaners, gym and physiotherapists, even a Starbucks. Gardener for general maintenance is included. Water included in rental fee; renter pays directly for Gas & Electric (averaging $150/mo.) (Housekeeper with experience in home available for an extra charge.) This is our family home and not a typical rental and we take time to communicate with potential renters well in advance of their proposed stay - often a year or so ahead of their long term stay.
