Bring the whole family to this spacious home in the best part of Pasadena, close to the Langham hotel, one mile south of Caltech. Furnished, 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathrooms, and (negotiable:) a small office. The house has an open floor plan with a very large great room / kitchen combination with high ceilings. The great room has dining table, TV, piano, leather sofas. The kitchen has a high-end Miele range and oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and blender. The large kitchen island has three chairs for sitting. There is a small powder room. One side of the great room has wall-to-wall sliding doors that open wide to the spacious backyard, with avocado and fruit trees, and private garden areas. Behind the large tree there is private path through a shaded walkway. Some kid play items (an airplane see-saw!) are in the backyard and can be used. There are three available bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and a small desk and a large window looking out towards the front yard. Another bedroom has a queen bed. There are French doors that lead to a private patio. Nearby these bedrooms is a full bathroom with large tub/shower. Off the kitchen there is a playroom that serves a third bedroom, since it has a sofa that pulls out to a queen size bed. We have a mattress topper if it's used as a bed. Adjacent to this room is small private bathroom with shower. Use of an adjacent office to this room is negotiable. There is a separate guest house on the property (behind the garage) where our friend lives. She will be managing the property while we are away, and caring for our 2 cats. She does not use the backyard, but the cats may be wandering. She and cats will have access to the shared laundry room (and no other room of the house where you're staying unless you like cats), so it's best if you are not be allergic to cats.
