We are an English/Swedish/Austrian academic family with two children. We'll be in Gothenburg, Sweden for the academic year and are looking to rent out our home while we're away. We're flexible on length: anything from a two-week stay to around ten months. The apartment Just under 100 m², fully furnished, with five rooms and two bathrooms: three bedrooms, a large living room/kitchen, and an office. Depending on how you use it, it also works well as two bedrooms plus two offices. It's a first-floor walk-up (no lift). It's ideally suited to a family with one or two children. One room has a bunk bed, baby cribs are available on request, and there's a good stock of toys for children under five that you're welcome to use. It's equally well set up for two academics working from home — two quiet workspaces, fast connection — or making regular trips to the universities, museums and parks. The neighbourhood We're on Falckensteinstraße, two blocks from Schlesisches Tor (U1/U3), with three supermarkets within a block, Görlitzer Park at the end of the street, and the Spree, Kreuzberg's cafés, restaurants, playgrounds and the Landwehr canal all within easy walking distance. Wrangelkiez is one of the most vibrant corners of Berlin: busy, multilingual, and very much lived-in rather than polished. It's a wonderful place to be a family, but people looking for a quiet residential street should know it's not one. Detailed interior photos available on request, or come and see it in person.
