The Neighbourhood In Verdun, one of the most vibrant neighbourhoods of Montreal and apparently the world! Less than 4 km from downtown, 200 meters from Wellington (all you need to shop), 300 meters from the métro stop De l'Eglise (green line), 800 meters from the St.Lawrence River (jogging and bike trails by the river and an urban beach), 3 public pools at less than 1km. Wellington is pedestrian during Summer time and hosts many events. In March, there's an urban sugar shack festival. The House It's an old house built around 1900, it does feel like an old house, not everything is renovated but the essentials yes (kitchen/bathrooms/bedrooms). It is very charming and feels very homy. A great place to have people over. It's rare to have a full house to ourselves so near to downtown, with parking (2 spots) and large garden. It's also near the highway for weekends in nature in Laurentides or Eastern Township. The Layout A main floor all open: 2 living rooms, one dining room and a large kitchen with direct access to the private courtyard with a large patio and a laundry room with toilet. The second floor is accessible from indoor stairway. it has a common room in the middle for office and wardrobes, a full bathroom with shower, two small bedrooms (facing the frontward, with balcony) and a master bedroom with balcony for parents (facing the backyard). The Courtyard and the Parking Behind the house, there's a lovely shadowy courtyard that allows to eat outside during hot summer evenings. Montreal can be hot in summer time and eating out is a blessing. On the side of the house, there are 2 parking spots available. For you and your visitors. A rare feature of houses in the city.
