This spacious West Toronto furnished apartment is in a grand old home on a large, treed property steps away from Lake Ontario. With tall ceilings and many windows, light illuminates the interior from dawn to dusk. Located on the 2nd-floor, the apartment has an expansive 320-sq-ft deck that is a joy through the summer. Set on an acre just 100m away from the shore, this home is a quiet oasis where sounds of nature predominate. The small park at the end of our short street offers an exceptional view —across Humber Bay— to Toronto’s skyline. The apartment is available starting June 1 until our return in early September 2026. We prefer to sublet-rent it for the whole 3 months. We will consider shorter rental periods, but rental terms may need to be adjusted. If you are visiting one of this city’s many universities and colleges, or taking in the Toronto region‘s other attractions, this home is an excellent departure point. Whether by transit (TTC & GO), car, bicycle, or even foot, it is easy to get around. A 30-minute walk along Lakeshore Blvd West gets you to Humber College’s Lakeshore Campus. Many of the parks along Lake Ontario’s shore are linked by pedestrian walkways, bike paths, and boardwalks that stretch across the city. Niagara Falls is a 75-minute drive away. (The apartment rental includes a reserved parking space). The Niagara wine region is even closer. Cyclists can bike there and take the train back. Stratford’s renowned Theatre Festival is just an hour and half away by car. If remote working is part of your plan, the apartment has 3 desk-work areas, one in each bedroom, and the living room as well. The dining room, sunroom, and deck are also spots where you can sit down with a laptop. Wireless Wifi works throughout (with a ½ Gigabyte bandwidth internet connection). The apartment amenities make it easy to stay home. In addition to a well-equipped kitchen, the gas BBQ on the deck is great to use throughout the year. The washer and dryer (no charge) are located in the building’s basement. Good grocery stores, shops and restaurants are nearby, and the Humber Bay Farmers’ Market runs Saturday mornings throughout the summer. Costco is 3k away. Roncesvalles in the High Park neighbourhood has a diverse array of green grocers and specialty food shops. Toronto’s famous St. Lawrence Market runs throughout the year. This large old home once anchored a more extensive property. Much of the estate was sectioned off decades ago. The home is now owned by our downstairs neighbour and old friend — a multi-talented handyman who transformed it into five apartments. He continues to do the upkeep himself. It is a big house and property for one person to maintain, so you may see some house repair that is in mid-process. Thankfully, the expansion of our beautiful deck was finished 4 years ago, making this beautiful Toronto apartment an exceptional place to stay year-round.
