We are a couple in our 70s, one an academic & poet, the other a stage actor. Have raised our 3 now-grown kids in the house--still have some of their toys and games from childhood. Built in 1916, the house has stained glass, hardwood floors and cove ceilings; we've also done some significant remodeling. Kitchen is open plan with center island, well-designed and well-equipped for cooking with a vintage O'Keefe & Merritt stove & Bosch dishwasher. Includes a kitchen table for less formal meals. French doors lead to back deck, with palm, orange and apple tree, and a Fermob table & chairs. The upstairs includes a master bedroom (king bed) with view of the Bay Bridge, a second bedroom with large desk and twin bed; third room is a study/office with large desk but there's room to add a crib or child's bed. Beautiful remodeled bathroom upstairs. Small 1/2 bath off the kitchen Lovely large added bedroom in basement, with its own bathroom with shower. Our piano may need tuning. Exterior and indoor rooms all painted recently. We have a ton of books, fantastic neighbors and a wonderful neighborhood.
