Hello. We have owned and loved this home for 40 years. It likes to have people in it who will care and respect it while we are away. The home is full of light, wood floors, plants and big windows with views of both the garden and the Bay. It is a split level, meaning six stairs from main floor to bedrooms and bathroom. There is also a downstairs that has the washer/dryer and extra storage space. The house is fully furnished and includes linens and towels. The updated kitchen is equipped with everything you need for making tasty meals. Both kitchen table and dining room table have garden views. The backyard has a patio and a terraced space that will have tomatoes to eat in the Summer and persimmons in the Fall. The rest of the main floor living space flows in and out of the kitchen. A garden room and a dining room are towards the back of the house. The large living room is in the front of the house and gets lots of western sky light. Upstairs, there is one newly remodeled bedroom with a new and very comfortable queen sofa sleeper. The second bedroom has an eco friendly double bed and a gorgerous garden view. There is plenty of free parking in front of our house. The backyard has a patio and a terraced space that will have tomatoes to eat in the Summer and persimmons in the Fall. There is plent of seating on both the upper and lower levels. You will find sun and shade available through out the day. It is our sancturary spot for sure. Thousand Oaks is a quiet neighborhood full of flowers, trees and nearby parks and shops that are all within walking or biking distance. Solano Avenue with a wide range of shops is a 10 minute walk as is the Kensington Farmers Market. Excellent organic produce markets are under a 10 minute drive and other food markets are within walking distance. I love being able to walk out my front door and go for a variety of neighborhood walks. In less then a 10 minute drive you can hike lots of trails Tilden Park. Bart is also a 10 minute drive away.
