The apartment is on the top floor (5th floor) of a small, calm house with families. The area is one of the favorite Kreuzberg areas, surrounded by Mariannen Platz and the park around Bethanien, Lausitzer Platz with its Parisian cafés, playgrounds and enormous trees, and Oranienstrasse, the local "high street" with a myriad of shops, small restaurants, clubs, and bars. Yet the building itself - and especially the top floor - is quiet and calm.
