Charming and tranquil 125m2, 19th century house with 3 large bedrooms, a 4th bedroom/office, and garden in the heart of Paris. Exceptional transport links: three tube lines close to the house (métro lines 4 and 6, RER line B). Direct to both airports and the Eurostar. Excellent bilingual school Collège Sévigné on the doorstep as well as very good French state schools. Our house was commissioned at the same time as the Eiffel Tower in the late 1880s and as part of the 'Exposition Universelle' to celebrate the centennial of the French Revolution of 1789. The house remains unique to this day: the living room boasts wood panelling saved from France's former National Library and all the rooms have reclaimed stained glass windows. A house full of character and charm, the property is set away from the street, nestled between artists' studios and behind the courtyard apartment building. There is a shared garden which you may use along with garden table and chairs. Each bedroom is equipped with an efficient, low-noise pedestal fan for the summer months. Ground Floor: The house has an open plan kitchen renovated in 2025 with oak flooring, farmhouse sink, original stained glass window and stable door opening on to the garden. The kitchen leads on to a spacious, 34m2 living room/dining room. There is also a downstairs WC. First Floor: The first floor has a large landing, one double bedroom with kingsize bed (160x200), one twin bedroom and further smaller room ideal as an office or fourth bedroom. This floor also has a family bathroom with full size bath and overhead shower. Attic Floor: The attic floor has a double bedroom (140x200) with large south-facing Velux and solid oak made-to-measure windows. Bed linen, bath towels and hand towels are provided, with light feather duvets for summer and deep-filled feather duvets for winter. Our trusted housekeeper who we have known for many years provides weekly cleaning during your stay. This can also include changes of bedlinen and fresh towels should you wish. This service is fully included in the rental price for the house. Close to the house you will find the bustling market street of rue Daguerre, where shopkeepers spill their fresh produce out onto stalls that line the cobbled street. Here you will find multiple grocers, butchers, fishmongers, wine sellers and bakers as well as great delis, cafes and restaurants. There is a supermarket two minutes away from the house by foot. We absolutely love our property for its rustic feel, Parisian authenticity and the enviable space it offers in the heart of the city.
