The flat is a small gem in a beautiful Edwardian House in Stoke Newington. It offers plenty of space for 2 persons. There are three rooms across two floors: a bedroom with a king-size bed, a spacious living room with two sofas, two fireplaces in both the living room and kitchen and an open-plan kitchen with access to a patio and a communal garden. The kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge and freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and plenty of cooking tools. The flat was thoroughly refurbished a few years ago and benefits from floor-to-ceiling double-glazed windows and insulation which make the space very calm at night time but also regulates the temperature in the entire space (the flat is warm in winter and cool in summer). The bathroom has both a shower and a bathtub. There is additional space to work from the kitchen should two persons be staying in the flat. There is no TV but plenty of books, art, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Stoke Newington is a very diverse and tranquil neighborhood with plenty of great restaurants, cafés, independent shops, delis, and a wide selection of supermarkets nearby (Wholefoods, corner shops, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, and a farmers market on Saturday mornings). Next to restaurants and bars, the area benefits from peaceful parks and wild spaces in walking distance: Abney Park Cemetary (one of the oldest cemeteries and wildest places in London), Clissold Park, and Springfield Park with access to the Hackney marshes and a wildlife area protected by 'Wilder London'. Transport connections are very convenient with Clapton Station (Overground to Liverpool Station) Stoke Newington Station (Overground), Manor House (Picadilly Line), and Finsbury Park (Victoria Line, Piccadilly Line, and trains to Cambridge) nearby. It usually takes about 30 minutes to get to King's Cross and the British Library. The flat is also my home so I have many valuable items that I will keep in the space. Ideally, those staying in the flat will also water my plants (once a week). I often travel between London and Brussels and usually rent it out somewhere between one week to one month.
