Bright, spacious 2-BR East London Flat, Steps from Regent's Canal

Welcome to our spacious, sunny 2-BR flat in Mile End, steps from Regent's Canal and Mile End Park. We are an 8-minute walk through the park from the Mile End tube station (Central, Hammersmith, & District lines), or a 20-minute walk to the Elizabeth Line at Whitechapel. It's a half-hour tube ride into central London locations such as the Tate Modern and the British Museum. The 2-level flat is on the top floors of a mid-century building, with floor-to-ceiling south-facing windows in the living/dining room (with double-door Juliet balcony) and spacious primary bedroom. Windows throughout the flat have expansive views of trees, sky, and (on the south-facing side) Canary Wharf in the distance. The sitting room has a mid-century teak dining table with fold-out leaf that seats up to 8 and a leather sofa with chaise. The primary bedroom is presently set up as a 2-person home office but could be rearranged into a second bedroom as needed. The smaller bedroom, still spacious and also with floor-to-ceiling windows, is furnished with a US queen-sized bed. The eat-in kitchen is spacious; the bathroom has a tub and shower, and there is a separate WC with its own sink. There is an excellent collection of kitchenware, a washing machine/dryer, a dishwasher, a set of speakers with a bluetooth connection, a printer, and a 16,000-BTU air conditioner (rarely needed, but useful in the event of a heat wave). The flat is located in a fantastic neighbourhood, with tons of cool bars/restaurants/pubs/shops nearby and a lovely weekly farmer's market at Stepney Green. The complex is located right on Regent's Canal with its miles of foot and cycle paths; a pedestrian bridge across the canal connects you to Mile End Park. The unique Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park is an 8-minute walk away. The flat is a peaceful haven for research and writing; since it is located on the canal, there are no through streets nearby and extremely little street noise, and the solid concrete construction means there is zero noise from neighboring flats. In addition to the park, children would enjoy the common green spaces in the apartment complex. Please note that the reviews below are from my old, smaller flat in Bethnal Green.
