Petite downtown Kyoto apartment

Description

Located in a residential and convenient neighborhood - downtown near Gojo and Kawaramachi - with its trendy cafes and restaurants. Near all transportation connections (train, subway) and a two-minute walk from the river. Our cute 14-square meter boutique apartment is furnished as shown in the photos. Included is a single Muji bed, chair and small table. There is also a tiny equipped kitchen and bathroom w/shower/tub. 2-3 week bookings available with standard Japanese rental contract. This is a corner unit on the top floor of a well managed, 11-story building. Facing east with a balcony, it offers amazing sunsets and views of Kyoto's eastern mountains and temples. Below is a peaceful tree-lined canal with a wonderful traditional Japanese bathhouse, and the river is just a block away. On-site Coin laundry, bicycle parking, manager, key lock, 24-hour garbage disposal. Please note that the apartment does not have wifi. Below you can see collected reviews from 2016 when we ran the place for as a short-term rental while living full-time in Kyoto. Our model has changed (we no longer offer bikes or meet guests in person) but the room + view has not. Marek & Nyree David has a very cosy studio in a great location, between the city centre (10 min walk North) and the train station (15 min walk South), which makes it a perfect base to explore Kyoto. The place is rather small but nonetheless we comfortably spent there the 3 days. Great advantage is the possibility to use bicycles, which make sightseeing much easier... The description of the place is very accurate. All the necessary equipment is there. Alice David's apartment is perfectly located in the center of Kyoto, and the view from the balcony is wonderful! The building is near a tiny and quiet canal which is a great place to have late walks . It's true that the studio is quite small but for a couple who wants to spend a few days in the city it's perfect (tall people might have troubles with the shower though). It is really clean and quiet and the bikes are a huge plus. David was very helpful,providing us with addresses and tips (and biscuits and tea), thanks again for everything! Tim We have had a very nice stay in this Kyoto appartment. It is clean, cozy and comfortabe. Also centrally located and has a beautiful view on Kyoto from the balcony. The appartments comes with bicycles. Cycling along the riverbank and through the city was amazing.
