Cottage in the wooded foothills near Stanford

The cottage was a perfect “landing pad” when I moved to Silicon Valley in the fall of this year. The place is small but has all one needs: a large comfy bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a washer-dryer in the unit. The terrace under the trees is a highlight.

The location may seem somewhat remote, but proved to be a big plus – I cycled to Stanford every day (about 30 minutes downhill, 45’ on the way back uphill) – there are bike lanes all along, and the scenery is beautiful, too.

Steve and Janice were wonderful landlords – they even left some snacks for me in the cottage when I arrived after a long flight on my first day and were extremely helpful and respectful throughout. Many thanks for making this such a memorable stay!
