This huge, 1100 sq ft apartment has hardwood floors throughout, located on a tree lined street in the beautiful Ditmas Park neighborhood of Brooklyn. Queen size Ikea platform bed, fully tiled bath, fully equipped sit-in kitchen, good size study / work space and living room space. Apartment has closets, large foyer entry-way, and hallways making it feel loft like. Light filled and quiet, located on the 2nd floor of a brick pre-war elevator building. Close to all amenities, including the express B & Q trains, just 22 minutes to lower Manhattan. A few blocks away is Cortelyou Rd, with great restaurants, coffee bars, food coop, farmers market on Sunday, library, etc. A block away are laundry-mats, two lovely coffee bars, post office, dry cleaning, super market, liquor store, etc. Parking is also easy on the street, alternate parking regulations. Apartment is minimally furnished, clean, modern, spacious — an open-feel to it. Ceiling fans and an AC unit. I visit the apartment once a month for 2-3 days— staying in living room for a brief visit (set off from the rest of the apartment). So essentially this is a share but you have the apartment mostly to yourself. I rarely come in the summer, usually traveling. I am super friendly, out often and or working quietly in the space. Perfect for a visiting scholar or someone in-between apartments or who may want to live in Brooklyn for a short period of time. Minimum stay 5-6 months. Some linens provided and basic amenities, such as hair dryer, iron; fully equipped kitchen, fans, cleaning products, vacuum, etc. Walking distance to Prospect Park, Brooklyn Museum, Botanic Garden, and easy train ride to Coney Island. Seeking someone who is super clean, tidy and respectful of my belongings. Rent is $2250.00 per month including all utilities. (electric is based on general usage; summer usage with AC will be extra if amount goes beyond basic monthly charges). Best suited for a single person with minimal stuff (prefer no furniture, etc). but will consider couples. No smoking, or pets. One month security deposit, first month rent up front. Six month minimum stay (flexible). References, credit check, proof of income, etc.
