Bright 2 bedroomed garden apartment in Edwardian village of Muswell Hill

Jenny was extremely helpful and her flat is beautiful, as is the area. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed staying in JG's lovely home. It's in a quiet spot, about 10-15 minutes walk from the main Muswell Hill shops, but there are closer bus stops and multiple options for getting to central London. The bedroom and loungeroom are cosy and comfortable and there's lots of natural light into the dining room so it's a delightful place to work with a view of the garden. The garden was larger than I realised, which meant that I was expected to do quite a lot of watering, being the height of summer. JG was friendly, provided excellent thorough instructions, and was very quick to respond to any questions and issues.

This gorgeous house was a home from home. Absolutely perfect location in a quiet, leafy street very close to public transport, restaurants, cafes, bars and supermarkets. Walk to Hampstead Heath or up to the woods at Highgate within 20 minutes and you wouldn't know you were in the city. The house is perfect - with gorgeous artwork, sculptures and interesting things! Warm, very comfortable and the views of the garden in any season are just a delight. Sophisticated and elegant London living. Jenny is a fabulous host and I felt very supported if I ever needed anything (which I didn't). I could go on ...Thoroughly recommend and would not hesitate next time I am coming through London just hope it isn't fully booked.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our one-week stay at JG's flat -- a comfortable and attractive home away from home. The descriptions ring true: it is a beautiful, comfortable and well-equipped 2-bedroom flat in a great neighborhood with easy bus access to central London. Its (private) terrace and garden spaces are wonderfully inviting. JG is a gracious and well-organized host; communication was no problem and all arrangements went smoothly. We'd absolutely stay there again. (Thanks again, JG!)

This garden flat is delightful, and working with JG has been equally pleasant. The flat is on the ground floor of an Edwardian house with an open plan area with a kitchen, sitting room and dining room, plus 1 or 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom. The decor is traditional and modern mixed with an "artsy" feel. The garden is a bonus with a glass wall in the dining area opening out to a four level garden that is full of surprises. The only potential difficulty is that Muswell Hill is not on a tube line, but a 10 minute walk in one direction takes you to a bus route that in four stops takes you to a tube station, or a 10 minute walk in the other direction takes you to a busy shopping area with a bus that also connects you with a tube station.

This was a gorgeous stay. The flat is amazing, with high ceilings, original architectural details, skylights, a magical garden, art and blooming plants. It has every convenience like washer, state of the art kitchen, Prime video, and Alexa for music but the real magic is the light and beauty everwhere. It is very conveniently located to shops and bus stops of Muswell Hill and was very quiet with a vacant flat above. The host stayed in touch throughout my stay and was extremely thoughtful and kind. The welcome pack is detailed with all the information I needed for operating appliances, putting out trash and recycling, and suggestions for outings. I stayed in the smaller bedroom, which was white painted, peaceful and serene. This is a gem.

JG's home is an oasis of calm after a busy day exploring. I stayed at her home for five weeks in the autumn. I so enjoyed overlooking her amazing garden while sitting at the dining table and relaxing with a glass of wine while savouring a home-cooked meal prepared in her well-appointed kitchen. Her home feels very private and quiet and safe. It is filled with interesting art and momentos. Muswell Hill is a joy to explore with lots of good shops and restaurants on offer on ithe high street very close to JG's home. I always felt safe walking there any time of day or night. Transit into London was convenient. Interactions with JG were easy, she is kind, generous, and considerate. I hope our paths cross again!

Jenny's home is a fabulous place to stay. The photos really do not do it justice. It's filled with beautiful things, inside and out and is also functional and comfortable. Spacious rooms filled with light, a splendid view onto the garden, quiet and yet within a ten minute walk, of all the shops and amenities of Muswell Hill. Many lovely places in North London within walking distance, and good bus transport to everywhere else in the city. Communication with Jenny was always fast and check-in was easy.

There was one small inconvenience which was an oversight on our part as we did not realise that we needed to launder linen before we left. This was resolved completely amicably, it's just something to be aware of.

Overall a perfect stay.

This is a spacious, serene, aesthetically pleasing and well-equipped flat. It is full of light and has a charming feel to it. The dining area -- with the lovely stained glass -- leads to the delightful (and private) garden. There are birds, a sitting area, a swing, a green house, a little pond, wooden walks ways...and a sense of being somewhere else. The kitchen is large and cleverly organised, the wi-fi works well and communication with Jenny was excellent. A bustling high street is about 10-12 minutes walking distance. Two other local delights: Alexandra Park and Palace and the Parkland Walk between Alexandra Park and Finsbury Park (tracing an old railway track). It was a lovely stay. Many thanks, Jenny!

Recommended. The flat gets excellent light and is quiet - it was nice to work at the kitchen table with its wonderful view of the garden. The flat has everything that one might need for a short or long stay. It's also close to a number of parks and greenspaces, inc. Highgate wood. JG kindly - and quickly - answered questions that arose over the course of my stay, and didn't mock me for knowing so little about gardening. Overall, both a great space to work in and base for exploring London

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying in this beautiful apartment. It was the perfect place to stay. We particularly enjoyed the light-filled dining area which was great for working but also relaxing and staring out at the garden. Excellent kitchen and beautiful garden to enjoy peacefully. Great for birders. We also really enjoyed being in Muswell Hill so close to Alexandra Palace park, the path to Highgate Wood, and all of the shops nearby. It's also easy transport into the center of London. We loved it!

Thank you Jenny for such a wonderful stay in every way and for having us over for dinner so that we could meet one another before our stay! Your home was so beautiful, clean, cozy, eclectic and inviting and we loved every room. We felt instantly at home the moment we walked in and it was very sad when the time came for us to leave. A highlight was the kitchen and dining area which were fabulous and the kitchen a delight to cook in. We enjoyed all the birdlife and squirrels in the backyard and it was lovely having a garden to look out onto. As for the location, the neighbourhood was beautiful and the village was a short walk up the road with great shops and supermarkets (including an organic food supermarket). There was even a walking trail in Alexandra Park nearby. Buses could be caught easily from the village to the underground station and we even enjoyed walking to Hampstead Heath a number of times. Jenny herself is a wonderfully kind and generous person and just so lovely. We enjoyed our communications with her throughout our stay and count her as a friend! All in all, we loved our stay and we would highly recommend Jenny's home to anyone. We definitely look forward to returning! Janice, Steve and Jack

We spent three wonderful weeks in Muswell Hill..an area previously unknown to us.MJ gave detailed instructions on travel and was there to greet us with a welcoming cup of tea.The flat if anything is much nicer than the photos suggest..a converted Edwardian house with high ceilings coving an intricate tiled fireplace and hardwood floors..plus a wall of full height French doors to an exquisite secluded garden.A rarity in London.We had an amazing variety of birds. MJ is lovely to deal with both kind and responsive. We will return in a heartbeat! Absolutely absolutely recommended.Polly.
