This is a condo in a complex for UC Berkeley faculty and staff, ideal for academic families. It is located in the flat part of Berkeley, about 15 minutes walk to the western edge of campus, and 10-15 minutes walk to downtown Berkeley and BART. Despite being close to everything, it is far enough away that the area around the condo itself is very quiet. Our unit is on the ground floor and has two bedrooms, two baths, a living room with a dining area next to the kitchen, a small office, a washer and dryer off the hallway, and a patio. The total indoor area is about 1000 square feet, or 100 square meters. The public part of the condo complex includes a playground and a large lawn where children can run around and play, and a common room for social gatherings. It is a very friendly community. There is one reserved covered parking space available. Condo fees, internet, water, and trash are included. Electricity and gas are included up to $200/month which you are unlikely to exceed but you are responsible for any excess. No smoking or pets, please. The pictures are a few years old as we are in the middle of clearing out our stuff so some minor details may be different.
