Morningside Family Home

This is a lovely house on a quiet street, but a short walk to a retail street with many great restaurants, pubs and groceries. There is a nearby park with a playground, as well as numerous walking trails and nature preserves nearby including wonderful views from Craiglockart Hill which can be accessed within two blocks.There are two major bus lines just a few steps outside the door with many more options for extensive bus access within an easy ten minute walk. Besides the three spacious and comfortable bedrooms, there is a large, light-filled front room with a lovely view towards the Firth of Forth, along with a comfortably sized dining room and kitchen; a very sweet yard as well. Owner is very friendly and responsive.

The perfect location for our family working sabbatical at The University of Edinburgh. A beautiful house within walking distance of the Uni, the children's school and the centre of Edinburgh, and with convenient bus routes for all three. A quiet street with easy parking and pleasant, helpful neighbours. A lovely contemplative back garden. Plenty of room in the house for a family of four to work eat and play. Fully equiped, and great communication with the friendly owner about how things work. Could not have hoped for better.

My family and I stayed in this property for 3 months this summer, from June to September. The house is spacious, bright and comfortable with plenty of room for the 4 of us and it had everything we needed for our time in Edinburgh. The garden to the rear is a beautiful addition to the property and weather-permitting a lovely spot to spend an evening. The house is located in a pretty residential area of Edinburgh which was very peaceful and felt very safe indeed. The nearest shops are a 10 minute walk away and there are various bus stops on the doorstep which take you straight into the city centre. All in all a great property which I would recommend, especially for a family (although there are steps up to the property!) or for anyone wanting to avoid the city centre noise and traffic. All communication with the owner was excellent and straightforward.
