The location is extremely central, in the so-called Upper Marais, one of the oldest remaining areas in Paris dating from the Middle Ages. While very calm, since laid in the backyard building of a pedestrian street, the flat is also strategically located. The Centre Pompidou is just a few stone-throws away, and so is the trendy Rue des Francs Bourgeois, the Musée Picasso and Carnavalet. The Seine riverbanks, Notre Dame and the Louvre are just a stroll away. Various metro lines (3,11 & 4) and many bus lines connect you with virtually any point in Paris. The hip rue de Bretagne just nearby with its scenic market with food stalls (Rue des Enfants Rouges) make it a perfect hangout on weekends, next to the little park. Les Halles/Châtelet as well as République, the Canal Saint-Martin and Bastille, with its bars, restaurants and cinemas are within walking distance. Many shops and supermarkets in neighboring streets & an organic food market just at the corner. The flat is on the 4th and 5th (last) floors of a historic building (17th century) and is south-oriented. It includes a small loggia beneath the roof, with bedding for friends and visitors. The bed in the bedroom is queen size. The upper and the lower floor are connected with a staircase that can be closed off, when one wants more tranquility on one level. The large living room has a convertible sofa. Linen for bed and bathroom are available as well as cutlery and kitchen utensils. The bathroom comes with a bathtub.
