This island house is just a few hundred yards from the Gulf of Mexico and miles of white beach. Tropical trees and flowers line the shell-surface street. Tropical weather makes for comfort 12 months a year. The raised upper floor has 1800 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. All areas are air conditioned. High speed internet is available. This extremely quiet street connects with island-wide bicycle and walking trails. Stores and restaurants are within walking distance. The island itself is filled with natural vegetation and native birds and animals. Nearly two-thirds of the island is a national nature preserve. No high rise structures or fast food chains exist on the island. Abundant fishing, shelling, and golf are available on the island and there are many fine restaurants. Sanibel Island is 3 miles from the mainland and is linked to the mainland by a series of small islands and causeways. Nearby towns are Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Cape Coral and Naples. Disney/Orlando, Tampa, and Miami are all approximately 3 hours by car.
