Welcome to our beautiful 20s era family home remodeled in contemporary style and located in the heart of the vibrant but quiet Bella Vista neighborhood of Oakland. Easy walking distance to parks, neighborhood schools, and bustling cafes and restaurants, as well as Oakland's jewel: Lake Merritt. Wander a bit further via bike or bus and you'll have access to Oakland's downtown, Chinatown, waterfront, and East-Bay Regional Parks nature preserves, as well as the many Colleges and Universities in our area. Our home was built in the 1920s and recently remodeled to give it a contemporary feel with a finished basement a bright and airy feel throughout the space. Those who like to cook will be at home in our spacious modern kitchen. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, 1 with a queen bed, 1 with a twin bed, and 1 with a crib and twin floor bed. The space has been made child-safe for our own children, and 2 of the upstairs bedrooms are furnished for kids, one with a crib and changing table that is ready to use for those as young as infant-age. Downstairs you'll find a complete master suite with a bedroom with queen bed, double bathroom, and walk-in closet. Our large-library also adds character and interest to this space, in addition to providing a large selection of high-quality reading material. Two desks area also available in the library for use as work spaces. Finally, there is a laundry room with both a washer and a dryer. The house also contains small but beautiful front and back yard spaces, with fruit trees in both (ask us about suggestions for how to use the fruit!) and raised beds that can be planted with vegetables which, if planted early-enough, can be ready for harvest by the end of the rental period. The back yard is lit with charming string lights and has yard furniture, ensuring that it's prepared as an inviting space for outdoor hang-outs or barbecues.
