We are looking for a great tenant or two to live in our home from Sept-June (some flexibility) while we are away in Halifax for an internship this year. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need - two bedrooms, two bathrooms, in-suite laundry, open living room/dining room area, large balcony with views to Mt. Baker (East-facing) and kitchen equipped with all the essentials. The apartment will be furnished. There is a queen sized bed in the main bedroom and twin in the smaller bedroom - though the second bedroom could be made in to an office depending on your needs. Other furnishings include a sectional couch, armchair, tv, shelving and bookcases, kitchen table and chairs, 3 desks, printer, lamps, dresser in each bedroom, and kitchen implements. The apartment is in a 50 year old building that is well maintained. Our unit was renovated before we moved in two years ago. It is on the entry level, with some stairs, but elevator access is possible through the garage. There is a dedicated parking spot in the underground, and the building has a sauna in the basement. Pets are allowed with some restrictions. We are in an amazing location for anyone needing to commute to SFU - it's just an eight minute drive away, or 16 minute bus ride. The R5 rapid bus stops at the end of the block and takes you to downtown Vancouver in half an hour. It's a fairly quiet spot for being so close to a major roadway. Noise from neighbours is also minimal. Burnaby is beautiful and boasts lots of parks and trails. Walk two blocks uphill and you'll be rewarded with amazing views of Burrard Inlet and the North Shore mountains!
