About Us & Our Exchange We are an academic family of four (two adults and two children aged 1 and 4) embarking on a university exchange to the University of Otago in New Zealand and Australia from February to late May 2027. We are looking for responsible tenants to take good care of our home while we are away. Life in Our Home Our 1916 brick villa apartment offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere that perfectly blends historical character with modern comfort. Daily life here centers around the bright kitchen-dining room, where large glass doors open directly onto a sunny wooden terrace equipped with a large awning for shade. The private, fenced garden features a sandbox for children, a cozy campfire setup, and the unique bonus of fresh eggs almost daily from our two sweet resident chickens. If you would like to care for them, they are happy to stay; otherwise, we will gladly arrange for them to stay elsewhere during your visit. To ensure maximum comfort across the seasons, the entire house is equipped with comfortable underfloor heating for the colder months. The Layout & Practical Facts The space is efficiently distributed across two levels: Ground Floor: * An entrance hallway leading into the bright kitchen-dining area. A cozy living room with a dedicated home office workspace (equipped with high-speed fiber internet) and a projector setup for home cinema movie nights. A master bedroom with a classic wooden wardrobe. A kids' bedroom featuring a cozy bunk bed with a canopy, plenty of toys, and a built-in closet for clothes. Basement: * A practical hallway and a neat, separate toilet. A renovated bathroom equipped with a walk-in shower, washing machine, and a freestanding clawfoot bathtub. Fully Equipped for Families Since we have young kids, the house is 100% geared for another family. Children's tableware, high chairs, plenty of toys, and a safety gate at the top of the stairs are all ready for your use. Location, Transport & Parking Logistics are incredibly convenient. There is free and easily accessible parking right outside the front door if you have a car. For cycling, the University of Copenhagen (UCPH)—including Frederiksberg and Nørre Campus—is just a 15-minute ride away. We provide complimentary bikes for both adults and kids, including our electric cargo bike, which makes grocery shopping and transporting children an absolute breeze. If you prefer public transit, a direct bus to Copenhagen city center stops right outside the front door, getting you downtown in 20 minutes. The neighborhood is peaceful and green, within short walking distance of several fantastic parks, playgrounds, and the beautiful nature reserve Utterslev Mose.
