Roots House – A quiet place for focus, creativity and reflection in the heart of Mallorca Hidden in the gentle countryside of central Mallorca, Roots House offers a calm and inspiring environment for people seeking focus, creativity and time away from the noise of daily life. Surrounded by open fields, old stone walls and wide skies, the finca invites a slower rhythm and deeper presence. The house combines traditional Mallorcan architecture with a simple and thoughtful atmosphere. Natural materials, open terraces and quiet garden spaces create places for writing, reading, music, conversation or simply being still. A flexible studio space can be used for art, music, yoga, meditation or focused work. A piano can be made available on request. High-speed internet allows remote work while still remaining connected to the natural surroundings. The gardens are spacious and alive. Guests who enjoy a hands-on relationship with nature are welcome to participate in the garden, grow vegetables or help care for our chickens, ducks and geese. We also share the finca with our friendly house cat, Panama. The property operates largely independent with solar energy, water from its own source and a powerful backup generator. This creates a rare balance between comfort and a more conscious, sustainable way of living. The nearby village of Sant Joan is only five minutes by car and offers cafés, small shops and local life. Buses connect to other towns on the island, while Palma and the airport are about 30–40 minutes away. Roots House is particularly suited for writers, artists, researchers, remote workers or families who value quietness, nature and creative freedom. It is less suited for party-oriented stays and more for people who appreciate a respectful and mindful atmosphere.
