We, Luisa and Axel, are a couple in our fifties, running a small design studio and publisher. We would like to spend the summer in Scotland, preferably in Edinburgh (Glasgow would be considered as well). Our apartment is a cosy, functional top floor victorian flat of a quiet three storey building in a central, well connected neighbourhood. Groceries, Boots, two large supermarkets including Waitrose are very close by. Holloway Road, the nearest tube station, is a three minutes walk. Some details about the flat: LOCATION: The flat is located in Holloway, zone two. It is an unpretentious yet lively residential area with plenty of facilities. A huge range of shops, restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and parks are nearby. PUBLIC TRANSPORT: The nearest tube station is Holloway Road on the Piccadilly line. It is 3 minutes walk from the flat. DESCRIPTION: The flat is located on the top floor of a victorian 3-storey house. It is quiet, functional, overlooking a residential street and a small back garden. The rear end of the garden belongs to the property and you are welcome to use it. The flat is ideal for a couple or a single traveler. It has a cosy lounge with a dining table, a large bedroom and a study containing a desk and a foldable sofa bed. KITCHEN: Well equipped kitchen, with oven and gas stove, a small dishwasher, washing machine. HEATING: Individual gas boiler UTILITIES: We believe that the best way would be to pay each other’s utilities during the time of the exchange. We will show the bills to the tenant and under or overpaid costs will be paid or reimbursed according to usage. Monthly bills amount to approximately £320/month. This includes council tax, gas, water, electricity, TV license and fast internet. HIGH SPEED INTERNET: Internet & telephone landline: 125MB internet and phone landline if required. There is an old TV over digital aerial. OTHERS: This is an apartment where we happily spent 15 years of our lives. We would be very happy to have considerate tenants who will take care of the apartment and the garden as if it was their own property.
