Turn-of-the-20th-century sea captain's home on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Spectacular ocean views from every room. Wrap around porch. Enjoy watching waves crashing on the rocks, lobster boats checking their traps and seagulls in flight. Large yard. 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. Quiet neighborhood. Our second home but formerly year round house with good heating system. Located in southern Maine only 75 minutes from Boston. Availability starting in early June 2026. We are in a quiet neighborhood (full of older houses) on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Easy 15 minute walk to 2 sandy beaches, Nubble lighthouse, restaurants, convenience store, coffee shops, ice cream stands, zoo, arcade, bowling alley and playground. During the summer months, there are weekly concerts at the beach and multiple fireworks displays. Tourist boats pass by our home multiple times a day. Fall is quieter but with fewer tourists and lovely weather. Nubble Lighthouse is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world. And scuba divers can be observed daily. There is also a restaurant and ice cream stand near the lighthouse. Multiple live theaters (including the Ogunquit Playhouse - one of the oldest summer theaters in the US) and movie theaters, lobstering tours, scenic lighthouse cruises and outlet shopping within a 20 minute drive. Easy access from major highway. Close to Portsmouth NH and Ogunquit ME. A simultaneous or non-simultaneous reciprocal exchange works for us. Leonard is an almost-retired lawyer and Anne worked at MIT and Harvard for 25 years. We are anxious to travel to large cities with access to nearby public transportation. We like to walk, explore new places, and try to live like residents vs tourists. We like interesting architecture, neighborhood restaurants, lectures, museums and tours. We'd love to make some exchanges in Europe as well as in the US and we're also interested in spending more time in one place if others are interested in longer exchanges.
