I arrived In Fairbanks in 1975 from Buffalo New York. I owned a construction company for 25 years, earned my masters degree in Northen Studies at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Worked at the University of California Santa Barbara in Global Studies for 5 years. Have now retired and am working on an Interdisciplinary Ph.D at UAF focused on women’s lives in the Arctic.
