Serene, beautifully furnished Copenhagen apartment: light, space and hygge

Scandinavian understatement with all-day sun and the best buns in town five minutes away,. Wooden floorboards, rare plants, a short walk from campus, Amagerbro Metro and beautiful Amager Common – perfect if you like running. The beach is easily runnable too. It's near the Harbour, the beautiful historic district of Christianshavn with canals and cafes. Christiania and central Copenhagen all easily walkable. It's a 4th-floor apartment, so beautifully quiet and bright, with plenty of books, some beautiful furniture and Duevel 'Planets' speakers to stream your music to. Exceptional privacy from nice thick walls – a cocoon of peace with several really nice spots to sit and work or read. The shower is great. The kitchen's also great: well set-up for cooking with sharp knives, dishwasher, nice pans, a milk-frother and a little kitchen table for your informal dining and coffee needs. Unless you want your coffee on a balcony – in which case there are chairs on both balconies, one overlooking Amagerbrogade and one overlooking the private courtyard, Morning sun on one balcony, afternoon sun on the other. The Amager neighbourhood is idiosyncratic and extremely friendly, with some of the city's classic bars and restaurants. It's preposterously safe and you can easily walk home from the centre of town if you like. The airport's about 15 mins from the nearest Metro station (Amagerbro) and the central station about the same by metro or bus. We have a new Miele washing machine which we are very proud of. And a dryer. Come and stay.
