Welcome to my beautiful home in the heart of historic Hyde Park, Austin, TX! Centrally located and close to everything, this quiet residential neighborhood offers a wonderful retreat from the bustle of the city and is a great place to work or vacation. I am a faculty member at The University of Texas at Austin, originally from Europe. I love the cultural excitement that Austin offers, the gorgeous outdoor spaces nearby (Ladybird Lake, the Greenbelt) and the ability to get everywhere quickly by car, public transport, and bicycle. The home is 1.5 miles from UT and less than 3 miles from downtown. Both cozy and modern, the 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house has a generous amount of space and is fully furnished with a comfortable modern European interior. There is ample room for clothes and/or books as my personal belongings are removed. The home has an open layout with large windows that offer an abundance of natural light, and beautiful hardwood floors throughout. Downstairs are a fully equipped kitchen, a dining space, and two living spaces (one of which has a couch that converts to a comfortable queen guest bed), and a smaller bedroom with a twin bed that converts to a queen. Upstairs are a large main bedroom with queen bed and an office space, and a second bedroom with a queen bed. All bedrooms have large closets, bookshelves, and desks. The desk downstairs folds open to double the desk space. Each floor has a bathroom with classic claw foot tub, shower, and toilet. The flexible layout accommodates a 3-bedroom or 2-bedroom set up with dedicated office space downstairs. The private fenced backyard has a large deck which lends itself well to entertaining. The front porch is tree-covered and offers lovely views of the quiet neighborhood. A perfect place for coffee or work! Both front and backyard are fenced and the house can accommodate a small dog or cat (there is a lockable cat door). The home comfortably houses 4 people, and with the fold-out beds in use it can accommodate a total of 6 guests for shorter stays. The home is centrally located in the Hyde park neighborhood and within minutes’ walk to its great cafes, restaurants, and shops (Bureau De Poste, First Light Books, Monger's Market, Hyde Park Bar & Grill, Antonelli's, Fresh Plus Frocery, Quack's, Curra's, Julio's, Asti's). Hyde Park Gym is around the corner, and Shipe Park (tennis, basketball, pool) and the public Hancock golf course are a few blocks away. Central Market and The Triangle (weekly Farmer's Market) are nearby. There is a bus stop conveniently located around the corner and I can make several bicycles available as well.
