Our Home and Area: Our home lies a few miles west of Cambridge, UK, in a quiet location surrounded by arable fields. However, you can be in the centre of vibrant Cambridge in 20 minutes by car. Visit the Cambridge museums, galleries and Colleges, go punting on the Cam, choose from lots of good restaurants. From local stations a fast train will get you to London in 45 minutes with a vast choice of museums, galleries, heritage sites. The rest of East Anglia, including the lovely coast, is within reach on day trips. Our home is a semi detached house which used to be a farm worker`s home, situated in the middle of fields, a mile outside a beautiful, small village. Our home is characterized by books, oak, patchwork and art. There is a lovely sunny garden room and a snug sitting room with a woodburner. We have four bedrooms (1 king, 1 double, 1 twin, 1 single) and full central heating. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor with an adjacent shower room and toilet, suitable for someone with limited mobility. In our driveway, there is plenty of parking space for three cars. We have a spacious garden with plenty of seating for you to enjoy the views over the countryside with miles of footpaths around the adjoining fields and small woods. The area is flat which makes it ideal for walking and cycling. For families, we have plenty of children`s books, dvds, lego etc. We have a home office at the end of the garden with power, heating and wi-fi, which make a great workspace. We now have high speed internet to the whole property and office studio so ideal for home working.. Our village: Boxworth village has only 200 residents but has a pub and restaurant, a church, a village hall and a phone box book library! There is an M&S Food store two miles away and many large supermarkets within five miles. There are several National Trust estates and heritage sites nearby. The universities and museums and galleries of Cambridge are 20 minutes away by car.
