Sunny 2BR APARTMENT suitable for a couple, or a couple with a child over 6 years old. The apartment has high ceilings, large windows, and two skylights. The living area is furnished with a mix of new and vintage furniture, art books, and curios I've collected over the years. In other words, the apartment has character.; it was not furnished cheaply merely for rental purposes. The open kitchen is up to date and is a pleasure to cook in. It's furnished with an induction stove, microwave, dishwasher, and a large collection small high-end appliances plus a Swiss Jura espresso-cappuccino machine, a Zojirushi rice cooker, a set of sharp knives, and a drawerful of All-Clad pots and pans.) There is a full bath (with tub/shower) and a half bath (toilet/sink) and a stacking Bosch washer/dryer. One bedroom has a double mattress suitable for 1-2 person and is very bright. It has a large window facing the neighbors leafy backyard and a huge skylight. plus bookshelves, a dresser and clothes stand. The other bedroom has a queen ("organic" Saatva) mattress, mid-century furnishings, a closet, a ceiling fan but only has a tiny window. Both rooms have air purifiers, great sheets, down duvets, and a range of pillows from which to choose. The air conditioners (3) are installed in the windows each summer. These days, Greenpoint-Brooklyn is one of the most vibrant areas in all of New York, and is often preferred to Manhattan because it feels neighborhoody and less hectic. The apartment is a block from grocery stores, the subway. It is a four blocks to the ferry into Manhattan (or Williamsburg or Dumbo) and near to several Citi bike rental bays. All to say, it's a great base from which to explore the city. It is a 25 min ride to MOMA, 30 min to Central Park, and Grand Central Station. The unit is on a lively, mainly commercial street (think millennial cafe's not factories) in the Historic Landmark District of Greenpoint, and filled with classic brownstones and family life. Recently, the waterfront has been developed into a wonderful esplanade for strolling, people watching, and viewing the sunset and skyline. The neighborhood is dense with restaurants, (some with Michelin Stars, many favorably reviewed by the NYTimes), casual and quirky local cafe's, plenty of bars, a few yoga studios, music venues and two pottery studios. And despite all of this, because it’s a rear apartment, you will sleep as well as in the countryside— it's absolutely quiet. Note: There's optional added use of an office with a daybed (separated by a locking door) contingent on availability. There is also the option of renting the art studio, a front storefront space—For more photos, please email me at Yama4Yama@gmail.com
