Caribbean Artist / Writer Retreat, Modern Movement Beach House with Studio

The beach house is in southwest Puerto Rico in Playa Santa, Ensenada. Playa Santa is small fishing village with beautiful beaches. We bought the house in 2007 for a painting and swimming retreat, the third floor includes open air studios with panoramic views of the Caribbean. Our house is comfortable, clean, and spacious. The main floor is one large open room with kitchen, dining, living and office space, the 2nd floor has 3 bedrooms (3 queen beds)two of the bedrooms have terraces. The third floor is currently used as an open air artist studio, a fourth floor sun deck overlooks the Caribbean. There is a fenced garden with a carport, from the garden there is a private fenced walkway (50 ft) to the beach. Our beach cove has a small beach for sunning with great swimming and snorkeling. There is a larger public beach in the village. We love spending time at our warm sunny beach retreat. The winter temperatures are warm and sunny daily average 85, the Caribbean beach water is from 82 - 85 all winter. La Paragura is close by and know for scuba diving as the "The Wall" is close to shore. We are also located near the The Guánica State Forest & Bioshpere Reserve (Bosque Estatal de Guánica, in Spanish) is an great example of a dry forest, as compared to the rain forests found elsewhere on the island. it has been designated as a United Nations International Biosphere Reserve in recognition of the efforts to conserve natural processes and resources in the forest.The forest offers many well-maintained trails and is a bird-watcher’s paradise. The house has terrazzo floors and steep stairs, it is not suited for young children or the elderly.
