Munich ground floor apartment to exchange with Edinburgh flat. We, Luisa and Axel, are a couple in our fifties, running a small design studio and publisher, and would like to spend the summer in Scotland, preferably in Edinburgh (Glasgow would be considered as well) We would be happy to exchange our Munich home with a home in Edinburgh. Our apartment is quiet and bright with a lovely terrace and garden in a leafy part of town, with excellent public transport to the city centre (20 minutes approx). Some details about the apartment: LOCATION: The apartment is located in Untermenzing, a leafy residential area about 20 min from the city centre by S-Bahn or car. A large supermarket and a chemist is a five minutes walk. PUBLIC TRANSPORT: The nearest S-Bahn stop is Untermenzing (S2), 5 min walk. S/U-Bahn Moosach (S1/U3) and U-Bahn Westfriedhof (U8) are reachable by bus. DESCRIPTION: The apartment is located on the ground floor of a recently refurbished 'Mehrfamilienhaus' - a purpose-built house with three apartments. It is very quiet, and overlooks a large south facing terrace and garden. The apartment is ideal for a couple, potentially also with a child. It has a large lounge with open kitchen and dining table, a cosy fireplace corner, a large bedroom with wardrobe, as well as a study which could be converted into a children's room. Both bedroom and lounge have access to the large terrace. Please note that some of the furniture has changed and the plants in the garden have grown happily. We can provide updated pics. A large supermarket (Edeka) and chemist is a 5 min walk away. Other supermarkets (Bio, Netto, Lidl) are 5 min by car or 10 by bike. KITCHEN: Modern and well equipped kitchen (Nolte) Washing machine A+++, silent HEATING: Gas central heating, apartment gets very warm UTILITIES: We believe that the best way would be to pay each other’s utilities during the time of the exchange. We will show the bills to the tenant and under or overpaid costs will be paid or reimbursed according to usage. Monthly bills amount to approximately €300/month. This includes gas, water, electricity, TV license and fast internet. HIGH SPEED INTERNET: Internet & telephone landline: 100MB internet, phone landline and digital TV OTHERS: This is the apartment I grew up in. We've been living there on and off and we have recently refurbished it with love and attention to detail. We would be very happy to have considerate tenants who will take care of the apartment and the garden as if it was their own property.
