We are a couple interested in exchanges for homes in Bristol, Bath, London, or other parts of southern England. We love NYC too, and are open to other vibrant cities in the U.S. or beyond. We both work from home, so we have some flexibility around length and timing. Could be open to renting out our furnished home for between one and nine months, if the details line up. Our house is a beautifully renovated Craftsman in the popular neighborhood of Ballard. We’re on a quiet residential street, yet within easy walking distance of the commercial center with a plethora of stores, restaurants, bars, and just about anything else you might want. We have a leafy yard, a two-car garage, and a long driveway with lots of room for additional off-street parking — not common in this neighborhood. The perfect blend of old and new, our 1907 house has been fully renovated and now offers updated systems alongside restored wood, period details, and high ceilings. The main floor features an entryway, open kitchen, dining room, living room, and bathroom with shower. Upstairs has three full-height bedrooms (two currently set up as offices with desks and sofas, one of which folds out into a bed) and a full bathroom with a bathtub/shower. There's a porch in front where you can sit back and relax. There’s also a partially fenced-in backyard with a lawn and greenery. We have a café table and chairs and a shade umbrella for the back deck, and a picnic table for the back patio. There’s even some room for gardening if you’re interested. It's about a 15-minute drive from our house to downtown (5.5 miles), South Lake Union (5 miles), or the University of Washington-Seattle (4 miles). There's easy access to bus lines that take you directly to all of those neighborhoods and others as well. And you can easily bike to UW, with most of the route along an off-street bike path.
